LisAmore! –the Heart of Italian Culture in Lismore

June 16, 2024 – A Phenomenal Success!

This year’s LisAmore! was an unforgettable experience, exceeding all expectations with record-breaking attendance and enthusiastic participation. As we celebrate the vibrant Italian community in the Northern Rivers region, we are thrilled to share the highlights of our most successful festival yet.

Highlights from LisAmore! 2024:

• Unprecedented Turnout: Over 6,000 residents and visitors joined us for a day filled with Italian cultural festivities. The excitement was electric, with long lines of eager attendees waiting to enter and immerse themselves in the celebration.
• Culinary Delights: Our Italian food and drink stalls were a massive hit. Despite the long queues, the delicious offerings were well worth the wait. Crostoli, a crowd favourite, sold out by 11 a.m., and bar sales doubled compared to last year, showcasing the event’s growing popularity.
• Entertainment and Activities: LisAmore! featured live music, energetic tarantella dance lessons, and a stunning showcase of Italian cars and bikes, including Ferraris and Ducatis from QLD. The annual Tug-O-War drew enthusiastic participants with the Mayor’s Back Lismore team the winners. The Kids’ Space was alive with games, storytelling, crafts, face painting, braiding and soccer.
• Capturing the Magic: A special thank you to our photographers, Peter Derrett OAM and Lisa Gough, for their incredible work in capturing the essence of LisAmore! Their photos beautifully documented the joy and community spirit that defined the festival.

16 Giugno 2024 – Un Successo Fenomenale!

L’edizione di quest’anno di LisAmore! è stata un’esperienza indimenticabile, superando tutte le aspettative con un’affluenza record e una partecipazione entusiasta. Mentre celebriamo la vivace comunità italiana nella regione dei Northern Rivers, siamo entusiasti di condividere i punti salienti del nostro festival di maggior successo.

Punti Salienti di LisAmore! 2024:

• Affluenza Senza Precedenti: Oltre 6.000 residenti e visitatori si sono uniti a noi per una giornata piena di festeggiamenti culturali italiani. L’eccitazione era palpabile, con lunghe file di partecipanti desiderosi di entrare e immergersi nella celebrazione.
• Delizie Culinarie: I nostri stand di cibo e bevande italiani sono stati un grande successo. Nonostante le lunghe code, le deliziose offerte hanno ripagato l’attesa. I crostoli, un favorito del pubblico, sono andati esauriti entro le 11 del mattino, e le vendite del bar sono raddoppiate rispetto all’anno scorso, dimostrando la crescente popolarità dell’evento.
• Intrattenimento e Attività: LisAmore! ha offerto musica dal vivo, lezioni di tarantella energiche e una splendida esposizione di auto e moto italiane, comprese Ferrari e Ducati dal Queensland. La tradizionale gara di tiro alla fune ha visto la partecipazione entusiasta con il team “Back Lismore” del sindaco che è uscito vincitore. Lo spazio per i bambini era animato con giochi, racconti, artigianato, pittura facciale, treccine e calcio.
• Catturare la Magia: Un ringraziamento speciale ai nostri fotografi, Peter Derrett OAM e Lisa Gough, per il loro incredibile lavoro nel catturare l’essenza di LisAmore! Le loro foto hanno documentato magnificamente la gioia e lo spirito comunitario che hanno definito il festival.
